Check-in for U.S. travel is on the 2nd floor of the terminal building, above the Arrivals area. Once you check in and check your bags, you will go through security screening and then U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

All passengers must be processed through U.S. Customs and Border Protection by 4:30 p.m., regardless of your flight time. Even if your flight is delayed you must be checked in and processed through U.S. preclearance by 4:30 p.m.

Once cleared, go to the U.S. Departure gates.

Identification Requirements

Please be aware the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires enhanced security procedures for anyone entering or travelling through the U.S.

Canadian citizens must present a passport when entering or departing the U.S. by air.

Residents of all other countries require a passport, as well as a travel visa. However, some countries (including most Eastern European countries), participate in a program to waive the need for a visa for stays of 90 days or less. Instead of a visa, you can complete an Electronic System Travel Authorization (ESTA) form.
